Reset Forgotten Password In Windows 7/8/10 (2019 Method)

Howdy, Rader! Forgetting password is an irritating circumstance due to which we couldn’t able to access that particular property which has been given a password protection security. Losing some of the social media accounts passwords like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter can be recovered using Forgot Password, but there is some software which doesn’t have any recovery option due to which a person can have only two options either Reset the software or create a new profile just like Microsoft Windows OS.

Here, in this article, we will learn how to reset your forgotten password in Windows. This method will work for all the versions listed below!

  • Windows XP

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8

After doing a hell lot of research, finally, we have been landed on the solution of resetting the forgotten password by bypassing the lock screen.

METHOD 1

Resetting Microsoft Account Password

In case if you have Windows connected with Microsoft account, and while entering the password if it shows incorrect password then you must have been forgotten your Microsoft account credentials.

Resetting the Microsoft password is pretty simple. Use your Smartphone and open Browser. Just Click the Link here to redirect to fourReset Password page of Microsoft account.

Click On Forgot My Password, then it will ask you for verification. If you have registered Mobile Number in the Microsoft account, enter your Last 4 digits of your mobile number and click Ok.

Microsoft will send you a text, or you will receive a call as you have selected where you will have to enter the code provided by them. Click next, and you will see Enter New Password.

Enter your new password and click continue. After changing the password, Login to your Windows using your new password you have recently changed.

Method 2

Resetting Password For Local Windows Account

Instead of login through Microsoft account, if your Windows is connected to a Local system account, then you will have to change the password with the help of another Computer/Laptop.

For this, you will have to download a software which is called Isee Password Recovery. Download the software by clicking the Download button.

After downloading, Disconnect your Internet for a while for the further process. Install the software and after the software gets installed launch it and click on the Unregistered orange button at the top right.

Click on the register after that you will need a 4gb(Min) Pendrive and insert in the system. In the software click the Second Option which is Create Password Reset USB Flash Drive.

Before that copy, all your data in the pen drive to another Pendrive or Local disk since this software will format your Pendrive details.

Click on next, and then it will warn you that all your data will be erased. Click on Ok and then you will see the Orange progress bar below which means the pen drive is getting ready for resetting your Windows password. Wait for 5-6 minutes until it 100% finish.

After the process is complete. Close the software and remove the Pendrive.

Insert the Pendrive on your Locked computer means the system which you want to reset the password.

Turn on the system and press your BIOS Menu key mainly the key is F2 for all the system, if not google the bios Key of your branded PC/Laptop.

After entering in your BIOS menu,> Swipe to Boot option. Enable the Secure Boot option which is mostly disabled (Default).

After that click on Save changes in the Exit menu and click the Boot menu key. Here are some companies Laptop/Pc key options.

  • HP – F9 or Esc
  • DELL – F12
  • ACER – Esc or F12 or F9
  • ASUS – F8 or Esc
  • SONY -F11
  • SAMSUNG – Esc or F12
  • TOSHIBA – F12

After getting into Boot menu options > Select your pen drive. The process of Password resetting begins. Wait for a minute and you will see Green and White Window. There click the next button and check your OS version.

Down the table, you will see the list of the account users. Select your account and check and click the Reset Password option. Your account will be Password free, after that click on Reboot now and when your system gets restart you will see the Login screen will not ask password and directly you will able to access your Desktop.
